Dead Rising "Webisode" Available

Just saw this on Major Nelson’s site, but you can download a couple of Dead Rising “webisodes” off of Marketplace, and view at least one of them on the web here. (Not quite sure what a webisode is vs. a trailer, but why not? <shrug>)

I’m really looking forward to this one. I’ve had the pleasure to try it out at E3 and it reminds me of a video game version of Shaun of the Dead… a very good thing indeed. Smile I’ll share some thoughts on it once I’ve had a chance to dig into it.

I’m afraid I haven’t played online as much as I’d like. I love co-op games, but as of late most of the games have been competitive. I do want to play with Prey a bit, so I’ll probably be on later this weekend.

Oh, for what it’s worth, the star rating starts at 3 for new members, so anything above that should be looked at as positive.

Maybe "webisode" refers to the cut-scene’s narrative nature?

I’m affraid it won’t take you more than a few minutes to "dig into" them. They are really short and almost pointless. Don’t get me wrong I love all the Live content going around but I don’t really need to see 2 minutes of cut scenes from a game I’m going to buy in 2 weeks anyway, especially with all the in game footage floating around.

heh, I’m proud to say I have a gamerscore of about 8,000 with a five star rep. I’m saddened to say that I’m no longer a gold member because I didn’t realize microsoft auto-charged your credit card to renew (I used a store bought Live card to join) so that set off a nasty set of events that led me to owing my bank 113 dollars, them threatening to turn me over to a credit agency AND not having any money for anything including gas and cigarettes. Flipping Microsoft the bird and planning on getting a PS3 despite me not wanting one was starting to look appealing. Then I cooled down, still can’t play online, grrrr.
