Evangelism Deconstructed

A friend sent along a link to Indexed, a site that does mini-charts and venn diagrams on 3×5 cards daily. Some of you in the industry will likely get a chuckle out of the particular one they chose to send along to me – I know I did!

And for the record, one of my favorite venn diagrams continues to be Chris Kohler’s PS3 model chart. I just wish he’d update it sometime!

Very funny! I really liked the PS3 one as well; I gave up trying to differentiate between all the different models.

yeah like the PS3 thing also, but to be fair, we had our share of 360 models so far…

    Core w/o hdmi

    Core w/ hdmi

    Core w/ hdmi w/ external 64mb

    Arcade w/ hdmi internal 256mb

    Arcade w/ hdmi external 256mb

    Pro 20GB w/o hdmi

    Pro 20GB w/ hdmi

    Pro 60GB w/ hdmi

    Pro 20GB w/ hdmi Halo 3 edition

    Elite 120GB

and that are just the ones I can think off, not counting useless motherboard revision (not impacting functionality)

Well, I think it’s a bit different because if you boil the ocean you really end up with a core console (some early one without HDMI), and a hard drive option (with different sizes). Certainly not saying there aren’t different SKUs, but I think it’s a lot easier for customers to understand… do I want the one with a hard drive, or not? (Especially today, with HDMI standard on all models.)
