The GamerPic Scout

Just wanted to highlight a cool new site called GamerPic Scout – brought to you by the same folks who did mygamercard.net. It’s a great view into all of the Gamerpics available on LIVE now, as well as popularity of those Gamerpics. Here’s a view into the popularity of the different Penny Arcade Gamerpics. Fun stuff!

Yep I already saw it yesterday and it’s looking good! I wonder if this data is from all users connected to xbox live or only those registered to mygamercard.net?

Good question, WarriorSan.  I would like to know the answer, too.

Thanks for the link – Looks like a lot of these picture packs did not sell well or at all.  Think there is a bit of a backlash on being charged for such trivial content?

I guess it’s a good way to see how different you can be as far as gamerpic goes. But the two above me brought up a good point. I wonder how well these gamerpics sells since I find them really overpriced to begin with. Actually it was cheaper back in 2005, but then they find that a lot of people are buying it (New Console craze and all) so they raised the price, but I think most people come to their senses at this point. The worst part about that is when I buy a theme and the thing makes my text unreadable. I spent good money on those and they can’t spend 2 minutes to test it? I think that you should reward gamerpics and themes when we unlock an achievement. Creating those aren’t that hard, it’s a good reward for gamers and it’s a good way to brag about your achievement.

Congratulations on outselling PS3 last week in Japan.  Its interesting this occured more than a month after Halo 3 was released.  So I have to wonder what jumped started your sales there.
