Xbox Live Problems

Getting a surprising amount of people pinging me asking what’s up with Xbox Live. Short form, I’m not actually on the ops team fixing this, and don’t have anything special I can share. Sorry about that… but I can say that there is a full-time ops team working hard on this, and it’s not being ignored or misunderstood or anything. Your best bet for updates is to keep an eye on Larry’s posts at majornelson.com – he’ll be updating folks just as soon as there’s anything to be said.

Beyond that, hope you’re all having a great holiday and will have a great New Year!

It sure is a good thing my subscription goes towards paying folks to fix the problems.  I’m sure all the new consoles purchased recently are the reason for the problems … and I bet those new customers are glad to be paying for support ops people to fix this.

I know it will be fixed soon, but its a little irritating for all the people who wanned to play during the hollidays. My self having a minor experiance, it take ages to log in and find a game in COD4. But it works only on a slow base, but as i say i know it will be fixed :)

This 1 month free trial I am on isn’t turning out to be good. I’m starting to feel like xbox live isn’t the smartest thing to pay for.

Testreseller , Just to put this into Perspective this is the FIRST time in 5 years that Xbox LIVE has actually went "Down" sire its had a couple glitches in the 5 years BUT overall this is the first ever time its been as problematic

Compare that to other consoles online services and you will soon see where to money you pay ends up ;)

Can’t see why people are complaining about this.  Like Daz said, it’s the first time in 5+ years that it went down, and the rumormill seems to indicate it wasn’t because of negligence on the part of Microsoft, but some DoS attacks (likely by idiot PS3 console owners that just realized their new Blu-Ray player will become obsolete sooner rather than later–they need to vent their frustration somehow…)
